The Mining Code 2018 (Law No. 18/001) regulates all activities relating to prospecting, exploration, exploitation, treatment, transport and sale of mineral substances, including the exploitation and sale of artisanal mineral substances in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The regulatory framework for the sector includes Decree number 038/2003 and Decree number 038/2003 amended by Decree number 18/024. Other substantive laws within the regulatory framework for the mining sector can be found below. The official version of the law is in French and there are no official translations of this law into other languages. The government regulating entity is the Ministry of Mines.
