
The Mining Code of the Democratic Republic of Congo was adopted by Law n° 007/2002 on 11 July 2002. It was amended by Law N°18/001 amending and supplementing Law N°007/2002 of July 11, 2002 relating to the Mining Code. The Code regulates the prospecting, exploration, exploitation, treatment, transport and sale of mineral substances, including the exploitation and sale of artisanal mineral substances. The law is available on the official website of the government (http://mines-rdc.cd/fr/documents/codeminier_fr.pdf). The official version of the law is in French and there is an official translation of the law in English available on the same government website. A new law has just modified and supplement the Mining code of 2002. It is the law n ° 18/001 promulgated by the President of the Republic on March 09, 2018.
